#Fill up the dome

Introduction Casper Nyovest, became the first South African artist to fill up a 20 000 seating venue Making history, without the help of an international act. He first announced on his twitter page, that on the 31st of October 2015, he will be headlining a concert at the Ticket Pro-dome, billed up as Fill up the Dome

Real name Refiloe Maele Phoolo is a Motswako rapper from Mafikeng Casper's life. Music was his dream, he dropped out of high school just to pursue his music. He said it was his dream to have 20 000 people screaming out his name, and indeed he proved that dreams do come true. No one thought he would do it, especially his rival AKA. He would post negative comments to discourage Casper’s fans.

PR Strategies
He achieved his goal by just using social media to market his campaign, he did not need to spend money on expensive advertisement on television and radio. He only used twitter, Instagram and Facebook to create enough buzz, which was pretty genius. He had few famous people mentioning his campaign Dj Sbu and Mafikizolo, which also helped him generate more support. It was friends like Ricki Rick and major league who hip hop Artist. He also held a press conference to help put a word out there.

How Casper responded
Casper filling up the Dome excited a lot of people, as he proved that you don’t have to be an international act to fill up a 20 000 seater. He was congratulated by his fellow artists and by the president the Jacob Zuma. Zuma's comment, and by the minister of sport Mr Fikile Mbalula on his victory. Casper has always been active on twitter, that’s where his beef with AKA started, and that’s where he first announced his fil up the dome concert, so the most logical thing to do was for him to thank his fans for the support via twitter.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Social media has played a major role on Casper’s career, especially twitter. Casper has always been active on twitter, that’s where his beef with AKA started, and that’s where he first announced his fil up the dome concert. The disadvantage was that Casper’s rival (AKA), would diss and say hurtful comments. The advantage is that social media sites such as twitter gave Casper free publicity. For future reference I will recommend that artists like Casper don’t post hateful comments on social media, because it ruins their reputation.-advantages-disadvantages-social-media

#BLACK LIVES MATTER.

Black lives matter
#Black lives matter is a movement against police brutality towards blacks, it has got celebrities such as Beyoncé, Barack Obama crying and voicing their views out. This movement started back in 2013, when a police officer by the name of George Zimmerman shot and killed Trayvon Martin an African American teenager, for suspicious behaviour. How it all started
Super bowl picture

Beyoncé’s involvement with the black lives matter movement has coursed a lot of trouble for her. She has received critics over her performance of Formation at the Super bowl. She broke the internet once again people were going insane on Facebook over Queen Bey's #Blacklivesmatter anthem,How people responded. Critics were saying her performance had political implication, because : Her girl squad wore black leather with barrettes, like black panthers from the 60's. : They threw the fist, as the sign of power to black people : They performed a human X to represent Malcolm X

Beyoncé has a huge voice as a brand, people look up to her and it is good that she is using it to empower people, it is good that she get people talking on social platforms like twitter and Facebook. People were going insane on Facebook over the #black lives matter anthem. People had different views about her performance some were saying it was racist some were supporting saying it actually empowers Africans Comments. Even the former mayor of New York Mr Rudy Giuliani was saying that the video and her performance was an attack on the police.Giuliani's attack on Beyonce

Beyoncé’s Response on social media

Beyoncé is not so active on social sites, she has a twitter account which she does not use often, and she is active on Instagram though. The only form of response that's available is from Beyoncé her self-saying" she wanted to empower people and make them feel proud". Saying that, that was the whole purpose of her performance.

Advantages and Disadvantages

Social media means free publicity, if people talk about your brand on social pages, it helps gunner support and it helps you appeal better on your supporters Advantages & disadvantages. Social sites are like a word of mouth and people trust a WOM than advertisements. People talking about Beyoncé’s formation performance generated free publicity for her, which is good for her brand. The disadvantage is that haters may hack your project and make it sound negative, like people did with her super bowl performance calling it racist. For future reference I will recommend that people think of how the other person will receive the message you twitting.
